Whitetail Hunts

Whitetail hunting in Alberta

Alberta is home to some of North America's largest bodied white-tailed deer.  Our sometimes harsh winters makes it essential for these deer to pack on the weight to make it through to spring time.  Alberta is also home to the largest antlered whitetails on the planet. The genetics here, specifically in the area we hunt are unmatched when it comes to frame, mass and tine length. November can be cold and brutal for all day sits but if you are prepared to put in your time, chances are you'll be going home a little heavier than when you arrived!

The hunt

A day in whitetail camp will consist of waking up well before daylight for a hearty breakfast before jumping into your guides pick-up truck to head to the stand location.  Once you arrive, you'll most likely have a short ATV ride to get you deeper into the forest, where the stand is located.  We recommend sitting the entire day but if you need to come out, we will accommodate.  Your guide will then come in and pick you up shortly after legal shooting light and bring you back to the lodge where there will be a delicious, hot, home cooked meal and dessert waiting for you.  Single bedrooms and a spacious gathering area is there to give you the privacy you deserve and a place to socialize if you wish!

What to expect

What to expect

Book your flight to Edmonton International airport where we will pick you up and take you back to the lodge to get you settled in for your 9 day hunt.  Mentally and physically prepare yourself for all day sits. We will never force you to sit all day but we strongly recommend it to help fulfill your goal of killing a mature Whitetail.  Nothing is guaranteed in hunting and we want nothing more than for you to be successful, that being said, we are targeting mature 5.5 + year old deer and we would strongly discourage killing a young, low scoring deer just for the purpose of filling your tag.  Once the trigger has been pulled and blood has been drawn, your tag has been cut! We will do everything in our power to recover your deer. Clean misses can resume hunting.
